A good bang for your bucks.

Full disclosure: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The whole "billionaire" subgenre is one that I've never seen the attraction of until now (although having had a sexy CEO take interest in me when I was in college would have been great), but this is one of the best portrayals I've seen. There's a genuine sweetness to the character interactions; Connor's interest in Shawn, and Shawn's nervousness and initial disbelief, are both handled terrifically, without the story falling into the "predatory alpha male" trap that seems to be so common in erotica. Andrews does a really good job of giving the reader a bit of slow burn and, dare I say it, an actual plot--but the sex, when it happens, will melt your screen! (Author owes me one [1] screen.)

My only caveat is that the "bird shapeshifter" idea, while novel, isn't developed much beyond a mention, but since this is the start of a series, I'm hoping to see that fleshed out more in later books. Altogether, if you want a "sexy rich guy" story that features genuinely likable characters, do yourself a favor and give this a try.

Fantastic resource!

Mazza has provided a complete history of poetry, song lyrics, bibliotherapy, journaling, free-writing, etc. as they are used in the therapeutic enterprise. He includes individual, family, couples and special populations (children, the elderly, A.I.D.S. victims, and battered women) in his descriptions of useful ways to conduct poetry therapy. There are several appendices at the end of the book, including sample writing exercises, sample poems organized along common themes seen in psychotherapy, internet resources, and the poetry therapy code of ethics. This book is a must for anyone engaging in poetry therapy, including those who use it as an adjunct to traditional talk therapies.

Niki's summer plans are ruined when she finds out that she isn't able to hang out with her best friend, Blair, at Bella Island, since she isn't "mature" enough. But her parents do think it's time for Niki to learn some responsibility, and so they decide for her that she will work with them, along with her twin brothers, at their shop, making and delivering sandwiches.

But maybe working at her parents' deli isn't so bad after all, when one fateful day, Niki accidentally bumps into a boy, Daniel, with her bike. Instantly, there seems to be a click between the two, but the only problem is, Niki believes that she is the only one who feels something between them.

With these mixed-up feelings, things go from confusing to even worse when she discovers that her arch-enemy is hired by her parents to help out at the deli. If only they knew that they weren't friends anymore. But Niki will soon find out that everything happens for a reason, and this summer will be more than she could ever ask for.

The second book in the new pseudo-series I HEART BIKINIS makes you appreciate puppy love even more - and you just can't help but to feel happy once you're done reading ISLAND SUMMER. This book was adorable and funny. it made me want to take out my bike run over a cute guy and make him my boyfriend. Just like Nikki did.

I bought another I Heart Bikinis book called He's With Me and it was the perfect little summer book so I figured I'd read another and this one wasn't quite as good as I had been hoping. It went rather slow in the beginning and at the end everything was just kind of thrown at you and I felt like I personally didn't have time to connect with the characters at all. There's a third I Heart Biknis book that I'll have to check out, but I'd say stick to He's With Me.
